Top Washington Health Care Legislation Experts to Speak at 2017 Employer Summit

 Indianapolis, IN – April 26, 2017 – Prominent health care reform experts Janet Trautwein, CEO, National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and Peter Marathas, leading U.S. attorney on employee benefits and partner at Marathas Barrow Weatherhead Lent LLP, are scheduled to speak at tomorrow’s 2017 Employer Summit presented by Gregory & Appel Insurance.  Trautwein and Marathas will share in a panel-style discussion the latest “boots on the ground” insight from Washington regarding health care reform and the impact on Hoosier businesses and their employer-sponsored medical benefits. 

The panel discussion will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Mavris Arts & Event Center as part of the 2017 Employer Summit.

 Janet Trautwein is the chief executive officer of NAHU in Washington, D.C. which represents more than 100,000 employee benefits professionals involved in the design, sale, implementation and management of health plans all over the United States.  A frequent speaker on health policy issues, Janet has been asked to testify before Congress numerous times, has been published in major newspapers and has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs around the world. 

Peter Marathas is one of the nation’s leading employee benefits and executive compensation lawyers.  He is widely recognized by clients, opposing counsel and national law firm ranking organizations as among the best in the field.  Peter is a prolific author, writer and active speaker on all employee benefits matters, including the requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
