INDIANAPOLIS, IN – AUGUST 18, 2026 – Gregory & Appel Insurance is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief and recovery efforts following severe storms and historic flooding that have impacted communities across Indiana.
The storms caused significant damage throughout the state, displacing families, damaging homes and businesses, and leaving many Indiana residents facing substantial losses. With a statewide emergency declared in Indiana, Gregory & Appel’s contribution will support ongoing efforts to provide relief to communities affected by the flooding.
“Indiana is our home. It’s where Gregory & Appel has grown, where our colleagues live and where so many of our clients and neighbors have built their lives,” said Andrew Appel, CEO of Gregory & Appel Insurance. “When people in our own community are facing this kind of loss, it feels personal. We care deeply about this place and the people who call it home, and we want to be there when they need support.”
In addition to the financial contribution, Gregory & Appel is organizing an internal donation drive with employees to collect essential supplies for individuals and families impacted by the storms. Donated supplies will be distributed to the Washington Township Adult Center in Indianapolis and International Disaster Emergency Service in Noblesville to support local recovery efforts.
“Giving is a core value of who we are as an organization,” Appel added. “Showing up for our community is one of the ways we put that value into action. No single organization can meet every need, but when businesses across a community step forward together, we can make a much greater difference for the people who need support most.”
