Introducing The HR Lab — A new, collaborative workshop exploring solutions to real workforce challenges.  You won't want to miss this interactive event that breaks the mold of Benefits & HR conferences.

Attendees will participate in the following interactive Laboratory Workshop Sessions:

Laboratory 1: Testing Two Cynical Trials: Disability vs. Worker's Comp
This interactive session will tackle how employers can leverage their benefit plan to drive an employee’s successful return to work following cases such as on-the-job injuries and opioid issues. Participate in solving these workforce challenges with the expert guidance of a Clinician, Worker’s Comp Specialist and Disability Specialist. These experts will uncover how their different areas work together and affect employer costs. Opioid Misuse and Return to Work Toolkit will be provided.

Laboratory 2: The Evaporating Talent Experiment: Modern Day Hiring Strategies
Among the biggest workforce woes employers face is the shortage of high-performing talent.  Collaborate with a panel of Indiana Employers and a Human Capital Strategy Guru to learn the effective tactics they are implementing to engage and retain a high-performing workforce.  These tactics include telecommuting, parental leave, opioids/rehabilitation support, total compensation approach and more!

Laboratory 3: Mad Scientists in Disguise? The Life and Laughs of HR Professionals
A surprise session for our participants!

Laboratory 4: Gig Workforce Genetics
Is a 9 to 5 job a thing of the past?  Employers are realizing the need to adapt their total compensation approach to attract talent that wants a project-based lifestyle.  A Total Rewards Expert will guide participants through the gig economy boom and how to build a benefits strategy that follows suit.  Hands-on experiment (activity) included in this lab!
