Laboratory 1: Testing Two Cynical Trials: Disability vs. Worker's Comp
Contributing Experts: Dr. Joseph Lisanti (Medical Director - Activate Healthcare Clinic), Scott Lerew (Senior Business Development Consultant - United Heartland), and Steve McGonagle (National Practice Leader of Absence Management - The Standard)
This interactive session will tackle how employers can leverage their benefit plan to drive an employee’s successful return to work following cases such as on-the-job injuries and opioid issues. Participate in solving these workforce challenges with the expert guidance of a Clinician, Worker’s Comp Specialist and Disability Specialist. These experts will uncover how their different areas work together and affect employer costs. Opioid Misuse and Return to Work Toolkit will be provided.
Laboratory 2: The Evaporating Talent Experiment: Modern Day Hiring Strategies
Contributing Experts: Seth Morales (President & COO - Morales Group), Steve Huffman (Director of Talent Acquisition - Damar) and Susan Rider, MS (VP, Benefits & Human Capital Strategies - G&A)
Among the biggest workforce woes employers face is the shortage of high-performing talent. Collaborate with a panel of Indiana Employers and a Human Capital Strategy Guru to learn the effective tactics they are implementing to engage and retain a high-performing workforce. This session will guide employers through tactics that include telecommuting, parental leave, opioids/rehabilitation support, total compensation approach and more.
