Gregory & Appel Insurance President of Property & Casualty, Andrew Appel, has been named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2017 Forty Under 40. The award recognizes young professionals who contribute notable achievements in the workplace and community.
“Andrew does an excellent job of leaving his mark on our philanthropic company culture and promoting an inclusive workforce not only at Gregory & Appel, but in our industry,” said Jami Burdine, Assistant Vice President and HR Manager, Gregory & Appel Insurance. In recognition of the Forty Under 40 award, Appel has launched #40Causes, a personal initiative to give back to the community by donating to 40 non-profit organizations nominated by Gregory & Appel employees. “This is another example of Andrew putting his beliefs into action as a servant leader,” stated Burdine.
Appel has played a pivotal role in continuing Gregory & Appel’s growth into one of the largest independently-owned insurance firms in the Midwest, which he credits to the support of the employees. “Teams can accomplish a lot when all members trust each other and believe that everyone is working toward the same goal. Being young in a position of leadership, I recognized this early on,” shared Appel in his Forty Under 40 profile.
