With voluntary benefits options from Gregory & Appel, there is no hard cost to you, the employer, to broaden your employee benefits package with minimal administration. Your employees can then customize the insurance programs and coverage they want, including many guaranteed issue policies available for otherwise uninsurable individuals.
Gregory & Appel Insurance benefit counselors are all salaried per diem employees who have been specifically trained for voluntary benefit enrollments. They will not pressure your employees. Their job is the communication of the benefit only; there are no sales incentives for our benefit counselors. Our voluntary benefits department also offers personalized benefit statements. These may be offered free of charge when a voluntary product is enrolled.
Our voluntary benefits team collectively has more than 30 years of experience, longstanding carrier relationships, and is dedicated exclusively to voluntary benefits. With Gregory & Appel serving you, your organization will be free from enrollment, claims, or post-employment benefit continuation responsibilities.
Client Anecdote: A nursing home administrator client decided to offer voluntary life and short-term disability employee benefits. Our client saw the value in a voluntary benefits program but worried their employees would not attend pre-scheduled individual appointments, much less enroll. In actuality, the employees reacted quite differently. Following the enrollment period, there was a 49% participation rate in the disability program and a 30% participation rate in life insurance programs. The client was thrilled; we continue to serve them and re-enroll new employees each year.

Janet McClure leads the worksite benefits team for Gregory & Appel Insurance. Janet has been a licensed agent since 1979 and has focused exclusively on the worksite area for the past 19 years. She has coordinated the enrollment of voluntary products in various industries, with a primary focus in healthcare facilities. Janet oversees all aspects of a voluntary benefits enrollment, including pre-enrollment set up, management of the onsite live enrollment, post-enrollment follow up and ongoing customer service. She works closely with the top voluntary benefits insurance carriers in the industry as well as the AHA (American Hospital Association) to ensure clients have the most current and competitive products available in the marketplace.
