curb your costs. Empower your employees.

An incentive-based wellness program, Virgin HealthMiles encourages employees to play an active role in their health and fitness. Like a frequent flyer program, HealthMiles awards points to participants based on activity level and health stats.

Many employers are beginning to offer incentive-based wellness programs like Virgin HealthMiles as a means to check rising healthcare costs.  This video from CBS highlights how HealthMiles helped change the game for one employer.

How does it work?

  • Participating employees wear a “GoZone” pedometer to track daily activity
  • The pedometer syncs with “LifeZone,” a personalized online tracking center
  • LifeZone helps employees take control of their wellness by setting goals, logging progress and completing health questionnaires
  • Employees earn HealthMiles points, which can be redeemed for gift cards or cash

Empowering employees to take charge of their own wellness supports a culture of health and fitness, and can help curb healthcare costs. The result is a healthier workforce that is more engaged with maintaining individual wellness.
