Clear the Air: Smoking Cessation Program

Smoking cessation can help improve your employees’ health, increase workplace productivity, and control health care costs. Whether you have 25 or 2,000 employees, you can take advantage of this statewide smoking cessation program from the Collaboration for Cessation Change.

Organized by the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Agency, the Indiana departments of Health & Insurance, Pfizer and others, this public-private initiative is designed to help Indiana employers discourage and reduce employee tobacco use. The program extends beyond employees to assist spouses and dependants as well.

Did you Know? The CDC estimates that an individual smoker costs his/her employer $3,391 per year in direct medical costs and lost productivity.

Sign-up for a Smoking Cessation Program to receive:

  • An employer toolkit to help your employees “Beat the Park”
  • Discount coupons for Chantix, a pharmaceutical drug that has been used to help people quit using tobacco (while supplies last)
  • Employee access to the Indiana Tobacco Quitline and other resources as part of a wellness benefits package (e.g. tobacco cessation coaching sessions with a trained “Quit Coach”)

Gregory & Appel’s employee benefits specialists can help you develop and implement a smoking cessation program that's right for your company. Contact us to schedule a free session.
